Q: How do you sell your material?
A: We sell bulk material by the cubic yard.
Q: What is a cubic yard?
A: A cubic yard is 27 cubic feet. For example, a 3 foot wide x 3 foot long x 3 foot high box would have a volume of 1 cubic yard.
Q: How do I calculate how much material I need?
A: You can use the material calculator on our home page. This is determine by the square footage of the area (length x width) you want to cover and multiply the square footage by the material depth in feet. For example, for 3 inches of depth, multiply your square footage by 0.25 feet. Next, divide your answer by 27 (there are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard). Your result is the required volume in cubic yards.
Q: Can you dump material on my lawn?
A: Material must be dumped on a firm, flat surface such as a driveway or parking area. Lawn areas are often too soft and unstable to safely support our delivery trucks.
Q: Can you deliver multiple bulk items in one delivery?
A: No, we do not have dividers in our delivery trucks. We can not deliver more than one type of material per delivery without the materials mixing. If you order two or more different items that you do not wish to mix, you will be charged a delivery fee for each separate item that you order.
Q: Should I install dyed mulch in the rain?
A: Please note that dyed mulch can sometimes require 1-2 days to cure, with no rain, after you spread it. We recommend that you work with freshly dyed mulches on a dry day, when no rain is forecasted. Should it rain before the dyed mulch has had time to cure, you may lose some of the color. This can be remedied by raking the top layer of mulch and allowing it to cure.
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: All sales are final, we do not accept returns.
Q: Can I come and look at the materials before purchasing?
A: Yes, we strongly encourage you to come to our location during regular business hours to view the products before purchasing. The material you receive can differ from the photos on this website.
